Has anyone ever gotten pregnant on the nuvaring?

I just started using the ring and when I started it my doctor told me that you have to start it within 2-5 days of your menstrual cycle. Well I started it on day 6 of the cycle and she told me to use backup for this month since I started it later. A week later after I started using it my husband and I had unprotected s*x and yes I know that I should have used protection so please don't bother telling me that. So is that long enough for the bc to be in my system and be effective or is there a chance I could have gotten pregnant or has this happened to anyone?

Sorry you didn't get a ton of answers on this one, just re-post tomorrow night, and you might get more.

As for my opinion...

I think you have a chance of being pregnant since you don't know if the BC had taken effect yet, just wait till you expect your period and take a test.

I didn't get pregnant on nuvaring, but did get pregnant the 1st month we tried.  I was pregnant within weeks of removing the ring.  So I know it doesn't stay in your system long once removed.
