If you have your period, you're not pregnant.  Sometimes women have other vaginal bleeding while pregnant and think it's their period--that's why you hear people say "I was pregnant and I still had my period."  

And, yes, the Pill doesn't have a 100% effectiveness rate (neither do vasectomies or tubal ligations) so some people will get pregnant while using the Pill correctly.

Take a pregnancy test.  That's the best way to know whether or not you're pregnant.

Well i was on the pill when i got pregnant. But my period didnt continue.  I didnt actually miss one- over NYE i had a bit too much to drink and was throwing up a lot! I guess that must have been enough to take away the effectiveness of the pill and thats when we made our little man lol

We found out when i was 8wks, just wasnt feeling well, i couldnt eat (i lost about 8kg in just over a month) and b*****s were really sensitive so i went to docs and did a blood test.

I was on the pill (and used a condom lol),  I think I missed a pill here and there, but not often. I conceived in Sept. and got my Oct. period.  But I felt really nauseous in Nov. and went to the doc, and found out I was pregnant in the middle of Nov.

I got pregnant with my youngest daughter while I was on the pill. It was the type of pill that causes you not to have periods. I did not miss any pills. I tested because I felt pregnant and got a positive right away.
