Has anyone ever had a punishment or forced haircut when they where younger by parents granparents uncles?

i was just looking back at photos from when i was younger and on most pics i have realy short hair in a bow cut and on one i can rember i had waist length hair(this was befor i ever had short hair)and that day i had took a pair of scissors to my younger sisters dolls hair and as a punishment i had to have all my hair put i a bob(my hair got giving to ocks of love though)but from that day i was not aloud long hair untill i turned 10

one time my mother decided to have a go at cutting my hair (much against my wishes)

she didn't get it straight so she kept going

and going

and going

oh boy was the back of my neck draughty!

i was the laughing stock at school the next day and i never EVER let her cut it again without a huge fight

she also tried perming it - and put the neutraliser on LAST and wondered why it wouldn't take!  again the perm was HER idea not mine

i wish parents would leave well enough alone!

yea, i have had bowl/mushroom top cut when i was a kid, my mom didn't allow us to have long hair because she claimed she didn't want to deal with lice. haha

im part indian so when i was 3 my hair was way past my butt and coal black..

anyway my mom and dad got a divorce (my dad got custody of me and my two sisters) anyway mom asked dad to promise to let my hair grow and he did promise...

the day he picked us up he took us straight to the barber and told him to give us all a military haircut...

he did it to punish my mother and make her hurt..

My hair was shaved when I was three because my Nanny thought I was the result of sin. She called me a demon child because i was a really curious child and i liked to read and touch too many things, especially if it had that skull sign found in chemicals.I liked going out into the plantation and play with the fruits and plants, but i never got too far from the pirogue, from were my cousin's said they could see me. After shaving she took beer and poured it on me. I can't remember how it felt but let's just say my hair took longer than normal to grow back. By the time I was 6 it was only 2 inches long. My mom has pictures but she couldn't do anything because we were separated. I was punished for who knows what. I don't think i did anything wrong. I was just 3! Ain't that normal?! My mom said she was just a crazy woman. I think of my mom as a demon lady for letting it happen to me just so that she could please my previous step-dad. I don't even believe the saying a mother would love their children no matter what. Or never will really. I can't remember anything from my childhood before 5 but this. To this day I'm afraid of attractive, tall and curvy, red haired women with dark eyes.Those really are Spanish women with naturally red hair especially. I feel like they will pop up with a razor and beer ready to attack me. I think she liked my dad, but he was never really at home: He was always on business for what she told me. And maybe she hated my mom, and saw me as some kind of rock from getting what she wanted. I hope she did, because if I see her when I find him, oh will she know what this little lady's got for her. This led to my fear of women, which then hit me bad when I turned 12, when I thought i was going to die but it was just the beginning of a "phase". So yeah. I'm actually surprised I'm turned out having a good head. And nice hair.

Wow sorry that is kind of a messed up and traumatic punishment.  Your parents are weird!

I wonder what a psychologist would say about this-- I'm sure it wasn't a very healthy experience for you?

Back in Romania, during my parent's generation, they'd shave your head if they caught you lying. This way everyone would know...
