Has anyone ever had any problems with tongue peircings?

like swollen or anything like that i need help i want to know if i should get one

I've got my tongue pierced and as long as you look after if you would be fine

I've not got my tongue pierced, my mum won't let me get it done so I'm waiting until I'm 16 in a few months :) but a few of my friends have had it done and only one of them has had any problems, due to the fact she never cleaned it or took proper care of it. The skin around the piercing on her tongue went white and all peeled off, which was not a pretty sight! But as long as you take good care of it and get it pierced in a trusted place then you should be fine!

When I first got my tongue pierced it was swollen, which is to be expected.  After a few days it went back to normal size.
