Has anyone ever had eyeball pain and headache?

my mother is having eyeball pain and her eyes are too sore too touch...she is having headaches aswell...anyone had this i would like to hear from you...yesterday she has flashing in the left corner of her eye and numbs lips

  1. It can be any number of things.  Acute narrow angle glaucoma can cause eye pain and headache. Flashing lights could be a sign of retinal detachment or it could also be an optical migraine. Your best bet would be to get her to an eye doctor. If none is open today, take her to urgent care or to the ER< they can page an eye doctor.

Sounds like she might have glaucoma, an eye disease caused by increased pressure inside the eye.  She should see her GP or an ophthalmologist.  It is treated with drops and sometimes pills.  These symptoms can also be indicative of migraine.  Your doctor will be able to differentiate between the two.

  3. Get her blood pressure checked and eyes tested.She may need glasses.Seeing flashes might indicate onset of migrane,particularly if eyes are painful.She must see a GP asap,especially about the numbness,that is of concern,may be early sign of stroke.Don't panic,get her to a dr though.
