Has anyone ever had or been to a wedding at the Bristol Renaissance Faire?

I am considering having my wedding at the Bristol Renaissance Faire (and no, I am not planning on dressing up all crazy). I can't find any pictures or blogs or anything on the internet. HELP!

No I've never been to the Bristol Ren Faire but I have been to both Ren Weddings and a wedding at a Ren Faire.

The Ren wedding was AWESOME.  I loved it.  Bridesmaids were dressed up.  Groom had a sword.  My husband wanted a sword too.  Bride looked spectacular.  They drank wine out of a goblet and said "thee" a lot in their vows.

The wedding at the Ren Faire, not so cool.  I mean hundreds of people in costume or in shorts and a tshirt eating a pretzel are standing around watching you.  There is so much noise.  It's a very very casual atmosphere--almost like getting married at a baseball game with the game going on.  You aren't sharing the moment with friends and family but total strangers.

No point in having it at the Ren Faire if you don't dress up!!  That's the fun part.

I agree with the first poster, as one who is planning a ren reception, why would you want to have it at the faire if you weren't going to dress up?

We are having the traditional reception for our intimate family members, but are planning a huge ren faire type reception for all of our family & friends 2 weeks after.  Everyone is very excited to be dressing up and participating fully!
