  1. It will be over before you know it!  Dr. explained that my corneas were too thin for lasik.  So they opted for PRK.  Lasik is even easier on your eyes than PRK is.  PRK takes about THREE weeks for you to recover.  Lasik requires a matter of hours, basically.  ONE thing to realize.  PLEASE go to a VERY reputable eye doctor!  Avoid the ones whom you see on TV.

  2. i had it done about 3 years ago by the same dr who did alot of players on the miami dolphins and the miami heat--i couldnt have been happier--but do go to a reputible dr for sure

  3. I've known people that have had Lasik, it of course increases your vision at first and maybe for many years.

But there are the down sides. It hasn't been around for that long, most people need what is called an "enhancement" somewhere down the road, because their vision isn't as clear as it was at first. They always tell patients that their vision is 20/15 after the lasik...w/e. I have never seen a patient that had more than 20/40 vision after lasik.

I have worked for an eye doctor that doesn't think it's a great idea, because who knows the long term effects?

I have also seen many cases of botched up Lasik surgeries, and personally, I would never do it.

That is just my personal opinion...but you asked!

    Best Wishes!
