Has anyone ever had someone ship to you from craigslist?

does it have any protection rules, like ebay and paypal? i've never used it, i'm just looking at it and wondering if people are ripped off every day by it.

What I do is call them and go to their house with the money and pick up the item. Only look for items in your area for best results ( and go to their house in the daytime with a friend just in case) lol

People are ripped off THROUGH craigslist, not BY craigslist.  Just like eBay where scammers prey on the naive, scammers also use craigslist in an attempt to find victims.

NEVER GIVE OUT FINANCIAL INFORMATION (bank account number, social security number, eBay/PayPal info, etc.)

AVOID DEALS INVOLVING SHIPPING OR ESCROW SERVICES and know that ONLY A SCAMMER WILL "GUARANTEE" YOUR TRANSACTION.
