I am trying to find some info on a place called "Timothy House"; it is located somewhere in Indiana. I have heard that it houses young girls who are pregnant, and that the girls are all forced to give the babies up for arranged adoptions. Has anyone ever heard of this place? Does anyone have any information at all? Where exactly is it located? I am really curious about this place; it seems to be very secretive! Help, please! Thanks everyone!

  1. You cannot FORCE someone to give thier baby up for adoption.

  2. I didn't find anything on google. I have no doubt that coersion and pressure still plays a role when trying to get teenagers to surrender their infants for adoption, but legally no one can force a mother to give her baby up for adoption. If you do find this place and it is doing what you say they are doing, I would report them right quick.

  3. There are maternity homes runs by adoption agencies that will not house girls who do not make an adoption plan through them, like Gladney.

So, if a teens parents place her there, and she can't stay there if she hopes/plans to parent...that's pretty much force.

  4. TImothy House is in Georgia and is for men with addiction problems.

It is against the law for anyone to be forced to 'give up' their baby. Adoption agencies are very good about getting counseling and help for pregnant women and girls, even if at the end they change their minds and decide to parent. It doesn't make sense that something like this would actually exist.
