I was wondering about this game called (as you know) the pencil game. it's when you take a sharpened pencil, tie a string around the eraser, read the Bible verse Ruth 1:16 KJV and hold it over your wrist. The trick of the game is to like say "first name A, read the bible verse, and if the pencil spins on A, that is the first letter of the person you are going to marry (of his first name). if it doesn't spin, you say B, and read the bible verse again, and on and on. then after that you say "middle name A, and well, you know the rest. of course, after that you say last name, and everything I was just wondering if this really works, and if anyone knows any other way to figure out the first/second/last name of the special one for your life. Please no physic's or anything like that.

  1. whaa?  never heard of that

sounds like religion and witchcraft rolled into one :P

  2. Im astounded and ashamed of the ignorance that religion instills in our innocent and impressionable youth.

    :(

  3. Does it spell out the whole name or just the first letters?

  4. So let me get this straight... you read a paragraph, go from A to Z, hoping to find the right combination of letters to that "special someone"?  HA HA HA!

Why not just play bingo, and let each number represent a letter.

A better use for that Bible, would be to go to youth group, and maybe meet someone there at church, and form a solid relationship based on your personality, not hocus-pocus.

  5. Uhhh...that's pretty much an old wives tale. Sorry.

  6. Just meet the love of your life... that's how you'll know their name.
