It's part of the K12 program. K12 is very highly respected by those who wish their kids to do online schooling.

Yes, COVA (Colorado Virtual Academy) is an online program for students in Colorado. They also try to connect participating families in person through field trips and other activities. One thing of important note: This is not considered homeschooling. Students enrolled are considered public school students who take online courses. COVA is free because of the public school funding. I believe it includes the computer necessary for taking the courses.
