He is my maternal grandfather and received the Purple Heart after WWII. My mother, who was born in the Phillippine Islands, has been told she needs a copy of his birth certificate to get a passport. We know very little about him. Please help!

Would this be his sister,by any chance??

St. Louis-- C 636 (County; roll number)

    Name/s*x--Heinrich, Margaretha --F

Date of Birth --August 8, 1909

Place of Birth --5123 Delmar --St Louis

    Father Place of Birth--Germany

    Mother Place of Birth--Germany

Name of Mother --Marg (for Marguerite. See above)

    Name of Father --Valentine

Name  of Person making Certificate--Mrs. A. Bremer

(If that IS his sister, I can't figure out why they wouldn't have his birth record listed as well. The website was for pre-1910 births, and the 1920 census said he was living in St Louis, at age 16. Last I knew 1904 or even 1905 came before 1910. )
