Has anyone ever heard of Fred Lewis?

This kid's crazy! He has 7 homers this season and 10 in his carrer. He hit for the cycle last year. He hit the Giants first splash hit this year. I think he's going to be like Torii Hunter in the next 3 years. What do you think about him?

  1. the kids good. he's only batting .274 and 7 homers isnt a lot ( bowker has a more without much playing time) also he's second in the nl for striking out looking. dont get me wrong hes valuble to the team, but we could do better. Bottum line is you never know what to expect from him. luckfully dave roberts will take some time there


  2. Not Tori Hunter.

    Fred Lewis reminds more of Darrin Lewis.  Good defense, strikes out way too much for a "lead off hitter" and has a low OBP.  He's not a power hitter at all, he's got seven whole home runs in 336 at bats, that's pretty weak if you're trying to compare him to Hunter. He's got 17 SBs and 6 CS, meaning he's succuessful in SB attempts about 75% which is average. I hope the Giants trade him over the next season or two. He's just another average player.

    PS. The funny thing is one guy claims he's a "future .300 hittere" despite the fact he hasn't hit remotely close to .300 in the Major Leagues. How do you come to that conclusion?

  4. He's very fast. He might lack on power but at times he hits homers. I don't think he'll be like Torii Hunter. Not alot of players play like him. So he's unique

    I've seen him play.  Nothing impressive.

I dont think he's enough of a power hitter to be like Torii Hunter  but I like this kid...Hes really good in the games I have seen him...Hes a future steady .300 hitter...He could probably be like Juan Pierre...I just think he needs to get outta San Fran to team that might contend within the next few years.
