Has anyone ever heard of Idaho Nation Lotto and Casino? In Windsor Ontario?

They sent me a letter saying I won money and I am trying to find out if this is a scam or not.

Windor, Ontario has one casino - aptly named "Casino Windsor".   The only legal lotteries in Canada are operated by provincial gaming bodies.  In Ontario it is the Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation.

If you feel so inclined the security departments at the "legitimate" establishments appreciate information on illegal scams, as do the Better Business Bureau and the police.  

As a lottery employee for over 13 years I have heard it all when it comes to the scams - they are a dime a dozen.  The most concerning aspect is that many of these companies are not only out to steal your money, but that are also looking to steal your identity.  

You can never be too careful.

My mom also got a letter and called the number the give. They said she won $50000. All they did was verify the address was correct and said the check would be here Sept. 15(today). They didnt ask for any personal info or anything. We got the mail today and no check. So we called and they said give it a few days and if it hasnt arrived call back. So if it is a scam I dont know for what?????????

It's a scam.  I bet they want you to send them some money for shipping or insurance or the like.  Throw it away.
