Question:

Has anyone ever heard of a cleft lip fusing together while the fetus is still in utero?? ?

Someone told me that their OB/GYN diagnosed their baby with cleft lip while it was still in the womb. They went on to say that when the baby was born, you could see where the cleft lip would have been if it hadn't fused together on it's own.

  1. A "MICROFORM CLEFT" is a very minor cleft where no surgery is required to correct it. A microform cleft can appear as small as a little dent in the red part of the lip or look like a scar. Joaquin Phoenix for example has a microform cleft.
