I could have sworn that it was titled "Amerika", but the only novel I've found with that name is written by Kafka, and isn't what I'm looking for.

  1. The Man in the High Castle by Philip K d**k is set in a world where the Japanese rule W USA and (I think) the n***s rule the rest.

  2. I'm not sure what the title of the book you're talking about is (but I'm pretty sure I know what you're talking about- I work at a library if I come across it I'll let you know)

However, were you possibly talking about the miniseries "Amerika"?

  3. It does sound like Man in the High Castle. The only other book I can think of that  it could be is Curious Notions-Crosstime Traffic 2 by Harry Turtledove. He is well known for his "alternate history" novels.

  4. There is a book called Russian Amerika, by Stoney Compton, but that is about a Russian conquest of America.

But your book could be The Man in the High Castle by Philip K d**k. This story matches your description more closely.
