Has anyone ever heard of a gas farm?

The news had some info on a gas farm about a year ago where you could reserve the price of gas for any length of time (sort of like a savings account for gasoline). does anyone know if there are any located in georgia?

The term 'tank farm' probably comes from the military, and describes a fuel depot or storage facility where there are several large storage tanks spread out over an area the size of a small farm.

You CAN buy fuel in bulk quantities from a distributor and have it stored in a 'tank farm' for your future use, but it doesn't really make any financial sense to do this unless you are buying several thousand gallons of fuel at a time.
