I moved into my new house and found this green and white bike with the soda name and emblem on it. I have never heard of such a thing so I was wondering if it was rare or a collectable? Does anyone know anything about a "Canada Dry" bicycle? I have searched it on line and found nothing, not even on ebay....

  1. I don't know specifics (although I know that others on this forum do), but there are companies that will throw various brands on a bike.  I doubt that there's anything special about this one.  I had one a couple of years ago that said CocaCola.  It was just your garden variety big-box store bike.

Does it have any posh components on it like Campy or upper end Shimano?  Then it might be something.

  2. It is most likely a bike made by Pacific cycles for some contest.

Yet,many people, even myself have put labels from a bottle on a bicycle.

It might help to know what components are on the bike,or maybe some pics.

I hope this is of some help to you

  4. What a cool find ;)

It probably was a prize from the sponsors at an athletic event.

Sponsors would have it custom painted to their specs as a sponsored prize.  Here is a link where you can contact them and ask them personally:  http://www.canadadry.com/

It should have a make or model # somewhere on the bike (eg:below the handlebars or just past the seat post (on main frame)

  5. Right now the bike has little value, if it is kept in pristine shape it might be in 20yrs who knows.

  6. Sorry, I can say how unique and collectible it may be. But, it's not uncommon for companies to have a small number of bikes ordered from a manufacturer with custom pain and logos. I hang on to it myself.
