1. I have seen red cedar treated with automatic transmission fluid. It looked good, but smelled and attracted dust.

  2. well basically it is mineral oil with anti-foaming agents add for use in hydraulic pumps ,sounds like you need to do some test spots and find out !

  3. I had a leaky tractor bucket that dripped hyd. oil on my deck while lifting shingles to the roof. Couldn't clean it off no matter how I tried. Here I am 12 years later with an ugly black blotch. Started clear. Can't make it clear again.

Bottom line, it seems well protected but ugly.

  4. first time i have heard of it.sounds lagit.

  5. I have used old burnt motor oil mixed with some diesel fuel and spray that one. It works best on old rough wood. It soaks in better and is less slick when it gets wet.
