Monday's child is fair of face

Tuesday's child is full of grace

Wednesday's child is full of woe

Thursday's child has far to go

I heard this when I was a child, and I don't know the rest, I'm really not even sure if what I have is right. I'd really like to know if anyone out there knows this (Plz be serious and don't make up stuff)

Also, do you know the day you were born on and does this poem, or whatever it is, hold true for you?

  1. I've heard that poem before. I dont really know what it means though. I dont think it actually holds any real significance for if you were born on that day.

  2. Friday's child is loving and giving.

Saturday's child is work's hard for a living.

But the child who is born on the Sabbath Day

Is bonny and blithe and good and g*y.

"A number of recent versions alter the previous row to, Is bonny and blithe and good in every way. Due to current connotations of the expression g*y. In addition, as being 'full of woe' is not a pleasant destiny for any Wednesday born youngster, the poem is now and then altered to read "Wednesday's child will fear no foe." Monday's Child is one of a lot of fortune-telling songs, well-liked as nursery school rhymes for kids. It is supposed to inform a child's nature or prospect based on the day they were born. As with all nursery school rhymes, there are a lot of versions. "

As far as whether or not it holds true- I'm not sure because I don't know what day I was born on.

    * I just looked into it, I was born on a tuesday- I'm not so sure I am full of grace...I am very clumsy.

  3. I've heard of it but I really don't believe it holds any weight.
