    interest rates are the highest in the world,

    so there are lots of SAFE funds on major banks that will give you close to 1% a month for your money (and I mean besides the brazilian bank giants: www.bradesco.com.br or www.itau.com.br or www.unibanco.com.br or www.safra.com.br) you can always choose an international bank such as Citibank, HSBC, ABN, Santander etc...

    The stock market has extra incentives for forein investors, but depends on your profile, if you are wiling to take the chance etc. In the last few years is by far the best return for your money.

    Real state you should look for small apartments in big cities, preferably what is known here are apart hotel, which is a hotel that you can also live in, the advantage is they deal with administering etc...
