I looked around on the internet and could not find anything about someone making all the balls in on the break. Has it ever happened? and is there a video? Also, I believe this has been done, someone making the eight ball on the break(winning the game). Is there a video of this? Thank You.

  1. You didn't say which game. So I am going to answer your question honestly. Yes.

    1) Have seen all balls made on the break. The game was 3-ball. Have never witnessed it on any other game, and I doubt if anyone else has either.

    2) Buddy Hall told me many years ago that he broke a rack of 9-ball and made 7 balls on the snap. Unfortunately the cue ball was hidden behind the '9' ball and hooked him for the other ball on the table. He kicked, missed, gave ball in hand to his opponent and lost that game. Anyone who knows Buddy Hall would have no reason to believe he would say that if it wasn't true.

    3) Making the '8' on the snap happens at least once a night on league night where I play. It happens more ofter than you might think. One player snapped the '8' in three times in one match.

    4) Remember, not all things you see on the Internet are authentic. Trick camera shots are everywhere.

  2. no, its not possible. have you seen scientific thing that they have 3 balls in a row, and then when you hit the ball at one end, the ball in the other end rolls without the one in the middle moving? its the same thing in pool, thats why you always need to have the black ball in the middle.

  3. I'd love to see the Mythbusters on the Discovery Channel take this one on.  :D

  4. As far as making all 15 balls on the break , i doubt that will ever happen.  An 8 on the break is not so uncommon. It can be a win or a loss depending on the league or tourney you're playing in. I've played and watched a lot of pool over the years and the most balls i've seen made on the break , in any game, is 6 or maybe seven. I remember seeing a young man from Missouri playing sudden death 7 ball on ESPN one time. He made 5 balls on the break but had no shot after that. That was crazy.

  5. Theoretically, it is possible...I have made the 8 on break once or twice.

I have also walked a ball on top of a rail and back onto the felt.

(totally unexpected) I missed the shot btw, but it was impressive all the same.

I have made one ALMOST 90 degree hit, shooting the target ball down the rail, to the corner pocket. (The #2 rated man in Georgia at the time said it couldn't be done)

  6. it's very rare but if you got the angles it's possible

i just started playing pool 3 months ago and i am getting better and better every time i play

  7. I don' think it is possible

I have made the 8 on break a few times but not often

  8. There was a video of someone hitting in all 15 on the break on Youtube somewhere, but it was admittedly fake.

The answer is no, it has never happened. You would have to hit the break with so much power (since the balls would have to bounce around for a couple minutes to even have a chance of it happening) that the cue ball and/or the head ball would pop off the table. There are trick shots where 7 balls (or possibly more, I just can't remember any) have all been made in a single shot. That's about as good as you're going to get.

  9. Playing 9 ball with a buddy of mine and he snapped 5 balls on the break....and still ended up being "snookered" with no shot on the next ball!!......played rotation or "61" once and another buddy broke and made 48 points on the break!!....I am sure it is possible but truly improbable!

  10. no, I don't believe its possible. I have seen it done in movies, but thats jsut camera tricks

  11. dno

  12. In 8 ball I potted six colours and the white once, I have never heard of anybody potting them all

  13. Making all 15 balls on a break.  You would think that there is some mathematical equation stating that it could happen, but I'm going to say that there is no person of a human kind that could ever do it.  Its just not ever going to happen.  Now the 8 ball break, yeah, that happens all the time.  In fact if you break from the side and aim at the second ball in the rack as close to without hitting the head ball you can get the 8 moving a lot and will greatly increase your odds.  However if you play BCA (world standardized) rules, 8 ball breaks do not count, its a rerack or spot the 8 and keep shooing, breakers choice. Good luck, and keep rackin em up!
