Has anyone ever managed to get a refund from Ryanair?

I know they don't refund fares and charges (nice), but has anyone ever got anything back from them? Namely the tax. Their systems are set up beautifully to make it pretty near impossible. Anyone ever managed it?

  1. yes we took them to court as the flight was cancelled and just to say NEVER USE THEM EVER

  2. A family member of mine is taking legal action we were due to fly to London our check in time written on the tickets said our desk would close at 7.30 we were in the queue at 7, there was no one in front of us, just 7 people behind and 3 people at the desk being dealt with - these people were'nt even flying! Anyway, suddenly at 7.15 the girl hops up out of her seat and says the desk is closed. We asked the girl why & she said you're late, we said we are not late it is written on our tickets that this desk does not close til 7.30, we tried and tried to get on the flight but these workers are like trained assassins they will not deal with you and if you ask them anything they will accuse you of being aggressive as they did to the man behind us. It was very upsetting. To cut a long story short we got 4 new tickets at the added cost of 90 euro per person, we got a flight 5 hours later ruining our plans for the day in London, (missing a wedding - being able to prepare for it etc) we made the most of our weekend and on our return the display screens and the desks were in conflict for our flight home, everyone was running between 2 desks it was absolutely ridiculous, we will NEVER fly with ryanair again. Noone should, it is a huge scam of an airline, the online system is as you say nigh impossible to use once anything goes wrong, the staff treat the customers as though they are priviledged to use the service. Dont make me laugh. I have recently been told by someone who works in the airport that the baggage handlers have a handy number going on where they scan baggage and steal electrical goods such as cameras etc. Nice! The only way is to sue, go the legal route, Micheal O'Leary is a ruthless person, the general public cant stand him as he has gained his money in a lot of nasty ways. You see what Ryan air do is they OVERBOOK all their flights, when it comes towards the end of the queue, the overbooked seat holders are told "you're late" simple as that, then these people are forced to buy more tickets so Ryan air skips off happily to the bank. Just dont use them EVER and tell all your friends the same. People should boycott them. Use REPUTABLE airlines and you know what you will get - decent service and your rightful refund if it is due, forget that with Ryanair.

  3. is  not worth it .  try not to  use them  again  as we do, if you  have to  fly  with  them  next  time  just  ignore  them.

  4. Would people stop bad-mouthing Ryanair just because you "pay for extras".

You pay for all the same stuff to fly with a c**p airline like British Airways, the only diffrence is they include it in the fare, so you are paying for things wither you use it or not.

I would rather fly Ryanair and only pay for what I use and not subsadise others on the flight.

  5. Your using ryanair why? Why why why why why.

Before long they will charge you to speak to hostess and to use the toilet!.

They want your money not to give it back to you.
