Has anyone ever met a person off the internet.......?

Okay has anyone in this section ever met an online person in person just to see how they were or for whatever reason..maybe cause you developed a bond n just HAD to meet them out of curiousity? Did they look like their pic/webcam? Were they fat and old in person? Were they psychos and tried to attack you? lol do you regret it? Dun be shy :-) and dun curse me out, this is just to see who's done it n how their expereince was. Thanks

  1. YES & my experiences have been BAD ones, so I don't plan on meeting anyone on the internet again. Most of the guys I met turned out to just be after s*x. My daughter on the other hand, met a guy who lived in NY on datehookup.com back in March & he asked her to marry him by sending her a text message, she said yes, so he bought a plane ticket & moved here to CALIFORNIA in May. Now they live together & are planning on getting married. It's not your typical situation & I am still very suspicious that he just up & left his life in NEW YORK to come & marry my daughter, but I guess it happens...


  2. I try to not be afraid of life. But still cautious of my own free will.

    But I would love to meet a few sisters in this section and give them a great big *******HUG**********, hhahahahhah

  3. I have seen couple of the sisters just through picture though, but I would not exchange pictures with the men etc or even meet them although I did get invited for a coffee and some other things but I refused ;)

    Just be careful as some people do not really be what they are on line, that is why it is better to refrain from matters as such.

  4. Yeh i met one guy. Not saying his name. He was cool. Dunno why you think all people of the net are fat and old men that attack u. If your a muslim and yhou fear Allah (Swt) then you ownt fear them.

  6. Yes I have met some people off the internet. Most looked like their pictures ( at a certain point of their life - lol), they basically pick the best picture they have of themselves, even if it is from 10 years ago -- LOL

    Some were creepy, odd, and I met them only once, in a public place and in broad daylight. Some didnt like that I didnt want to see them again, and would call me or stalk me on the internet, but I never told them where I lived or worked.. so it was easy to shut them out. I met some good people who were really nice and we are friends, some I dated for a couple of years but we broke up bc of differences. You have to be careful who you meet, and where. It is no different than meeting someone at the grocery store, or in a social gathering for the first time.

    Just get to know them well before you give them alot of info about you.

I've only just been chatting to a few ramadani users and that was pretty scary at first Lol but guys... i wouldn't really want to chat with any guys...given that the chat may lead to anywhere and go haywire LOL I've seen pics of the sistas but i respect their privacy and so do they, never met them in life but would love to!!!

  8. I met my husband on-line.. we chatted for a couple years... talked on the phone... then shortly after we met, we got married.

  12. I have only done it once and it was against my own rules of never doing it, but I had a gut feeling that I should. Keep in mind that I'm almost 30 and met in a public place near my home and with family near by just incase. It ended up being the best decision. My gut was right, we are now getting married and have a baby girl on the way. We met off Myspace of all places. We met as friends after talking online and over the phone.
