Question:

Has anyone ever noticed this on a laundry tag.. And what can it possibly mean?!

I have a chart at home of what all those little symbols on laundry tags mean. Things like temperature.. Bleach or no bleach.. how to iron.. But i found this one interesting: in the set of "drying" symbols, there are several such as machine dry, lay flat to dry, hang to dry, air dry only etc.. But one says "DO NOT DRY". I'm assuming that since everything else like air dry only and do not machine dry are covered, it cannot mean that you simply can't machine dry it,. So what does it mean!? Do not allow your clothes to dry?

I always got a bit of a laugh out of it but I've never actually come across it in a piece of clothing.

  1. Is it the circle inside of a square and crossed out?  Lol.  It does mean don't put in the dryer.  You can line or air dry the material instead. Whatever you want except the dryer.  The big circle with the X over it means don't dry clean.

I guess they could probably only use 2-3 words to explain the symbol.

It is funny.  I've never heard of Wet-wear!

  2. That is wierd, but it probably means "hang to dry".

  3. It might have meant to say DO NOT DRY CLEAN.

  4. i would take it as do not dry in machine...

low heat maybe, damp dry only... i can't think of anything else...
