were you able to keep it in..

or did it get all infected and you had to take it out ?

I've already done it..and it seems fine...I'm just seeing if anyone else has had a success of doing it themselves ..

  1. I did it both ways... when i was in the 8th grade I had my friends do it with a sewing needle. Thats hurt like h**l. It took a long time to get it through and one we did get it through the experience just got worse. I ended up letting that close (it took like a week bc it was very shallow) then on my 14th B-day i got it done professionally.. I have now had it done for coming up on 4 years... It is doing awesome and i barely even now its there (unless ii have the occasional snag on my belt)

if you did it yourself i would sugest letting that close and getting it done professionally..

  2. Mine got infected and I took care of it perfectly, I even took zinc and vitamin C supplements that are supposed to help it heal faster. I had to take mine out in less than a year. I didn't do it myself, I had it done by a professional at the best piercing shop in town. Everything was sterilized in a medical autoclave before he pierced me (I even saw the color changing strip in the container so I know it was in fact sterile) so I don't know what went wrong.

  3. I got mine pierced, oh, just about a month or so before school ended. I changed it three weeks after it was pierced; you're supposed to wait at least three months I think, but I was so anxious and excited to change it to a pretty, dangling one. Thing is, since then I've had a red blister located right below the piercing in my bellybutton; doesn't hurt or anything, just won't go away. Haven't done anything about it. But it's weird.

For a while, your piercing will leak white stuff. This is normal. If it's like, green or yellow though, it's not. I'm told the white stuff is dead white blood cells. It's going to be sore for a while, but nothing excruciating; if so, I'd get it checked out.

Anymore questions just let me know :).
