Has anyone ever read the book Treasure Island?

im reading it and i want to know if anyone likes it

It's been one of my favourites for years and still is.  Also Robinson Crusoe.

I have. Just last year, in fact. I did enjoy it, but I was surprised how little of the story I remembered. I *know* I saw Muppet Treasure Island when it was released in the theater.

I think some of the old-style language might get in the way of a modern reader's enjoyment of it, but it is quite a compelling story: a young boy hits the seas to find a buried treasure & then finds out that he's on a boat with pirates who are planning mutiny. Very adventurous.

And Long John Silver is a classic character - you think he's good, he turns out to be bad, and then good... so you end up not knowing what to think of him.

I read some time back back. I liked it and if you do, I suggest you read Coral Island by R.M Ballantyne too. They are both interesting books.

I really enjoyed Treasure Island and have read it more than once!  Pirates and treasure hunting have always been enjoyable themes.
