  1. Sometimes they contain spyware.

  2. No, I know there's no free ride.  They only give you something "free" to get you as a paying customer.

  3. There are legit freebies out there. Ask my mailman, my mailbox is full everyday.  I use the site below as they filter out all the bogus offers ( and there are many) and only post the legit ones.  Check it out, start signing up and soon your mailbox will be full. It is so fun!!!

  4. I guess my answer is yes. I don't even try anymore. But I need to tell this... It's been a while I'll say 1994 when I was reading that they were giving away a web cam. I jumped on the offer and that cam did come in the mail with the software. I really enjoy it until one day I was experimenting with the camera and realize that I had company. Somebody had access to my home and everything I did with that camara. To make a long story short; The camara is history and its software...

  5. As others have already mentioned, its mostly a method of gaining your e-mail address and personal info so they can barrage you with spam.  The so-called free stuff is sponsored by the advertisers and, believe me, they get their moneys worth.  Beware!!

  6. never , its all a hoax to get ur personal information out , then they sell it to insurance companies , vendors etc. Beware !
