  1. I never rented one but I bought one from Wal-Mart and it sucked I never heard anything. I didnt know that you could rent them. Trust me I am sure it will be worth it. I woudl have loved to be able to here her heartbeat everyday its calming I am sure to know everything is ok. Just remember sometimes it take up to the 16th week before you can hear it really good. So dont get worried if you dont hear it right now just keep trying. Also take it with you to the doctors office if you have trouble I am sure that they can help. I did that and that is how I knew mine sucked! LOL

  2. i rented one from heartbeats.com i believe. It worked wonders! I got it when I was just about 10 weeks. Heard the heartbeat fine every day since. :) You will love it! Just don't break it! I dropped mine on day one! I guess I was too excited.

  3. I thought about buying one, they used to have them at Target, but I believe they stopped selling them bc the ones you can buy in the store are not nearly as powerful (or expensive) as the ones they have in Dr's offices and causes more problems than anything.  If the baby is not i nthe correct position or you don't know what you're doing you can totally freak yourself out thinking theres no heartbeat and end up calling the DR when really there is nothing wrong.  IF the one your getting is one as powerful as the ones in the Dr's office then just learn how to use it properly so you don't freak yourself out. Good luck!
