  1. Never, ever buy a cat "sight unseen."

How do you know it is in proper health?

Or that your purrrsonalities make a good match?

Since this is not a favored breeding, no one can really tell you what a Sphynx/Bengal mix will look like without guessing.

Go check it out in person, and ask a LOT of questions!

It would also be wise to research both breeds of cats. Bengals aren't like normal house cats that will sit in the sun and sleep for hours. They are extremely active cats, and left alone for long periods of time, they may find their own fun - which will usually be "destructive" to items around your home... Bengals need a LOT of interaction and attention - they're perpetual kittens. They also don't usually like to be picked up, and some (but not all) Bengals won't even sit on your lap. However, Bengals are very, very sweet, and will usually cuddle with you - but on their own time and in their own way. Ours do cuddle up with us in bed at night, when they're not "hunting" or playing night guard.

I'm not familliar with the temprament of the Sphinx cat, but if they are less active and less assertive, this may "counter-act" the Bengal need for constant interaction - resulting in a more "mellow" cat.

The best thing you can do is research the breeds, and then go spend time with the cat you're interested in buying. Once you interact with the cat, you can figure out if you really want to bring him/her home.

Importantly, be sure not to impulse-buy!

Too many cats end up at shelters...
