Yes. These birds often stay with the parent birds longer than other birds. They are so ugly they are cute. When they are juvenilles they will be out and you can tell they are young by looking at their legs and their eyes. If the legs are not bright in color yet and the eyes are not then they are young. they pretty much get their size all at once. Some are even bigger than parents because they are so tubby.
