Not the run down,as everyone has seen those, but the contact with the infielder and being called safe due to obstruction.

  1. yes, except it was the other way around, the runner supposedly interfeared with chase utley last year one night at shea stadium, it would have been a game winning play, but the umpire blew a call, that was august, the long term result, the mets dont make the playoffs

  2. THAT WAS SO AWESOME

AJ perpously drew the infielder to knock into him[even if very slightly] because he knew it was his only way to stay on base and the only way to get the sox a win. it was brilliant. its not like its illigal either.   I love aj. hes such a smart ballplayer. when he ties himself up he tries to reach base anyway, without giving up. GO AJ.

    GO WHITESOX!

  3. It was the worst call ive ever seen pierzynski stuck his arm out so the defender would have to run into it.

  4. I performed that same play once in High School.

  5. ive seen this play alot no big deal.

  6. No.  I was at the game and I had absolutely no idea what happened.  I have seen the runner obstruct the fielder, but never the opposite.  Leave it to AJ to get in the middle of something crazy like that!

    Go White Sox!!!

  7. It was a bad job by the umps. I have never seen something like that. It also cost the rays the game. Lets see how the rays play after this one.

  8. I saw the replay 20 times and never saw contact, unless maybe their jerseys touched and I don't call that contact. AJ fell down on his own, and he deserves an Oscar for that performance. I'm not a Rays fan

(However, I don't cheer against them because I like to see teams that have never had a good season actuall play extremely well for a change).  I just like for the umps to get the call correct, and I don't think they did in my opinion.

  9. yeah A.J tripped when the shortstop was there
