Has anyone ever stayed at the The Simon Hotel on the Simon Fraser University campus?

I was just wondering if it was close to downtown Vancouver and if it was worth $118/ night. Should I just spend more for an actual hotel stay in Vancouver?

Simon Fraser University's main campus - where the Simon Hotel is located - is in Burnaby, on top of the mountain. It's nowhere near downtown Vancouver - but you can take a bus from the campus down to the skytrain and take the skytrain into downtown Vancouver if you want.

The Simon Hotel is actually designed for conferences on campus, rather than a tourist hotel.If you want to see Vancouver, you would be better off to stay in the downtown area, close to all the tourist amenities.

The Simon Hotel is dorm like but nice the next closest hotel is the Executive Plaza for 145/night or if you are more comfortable their is a Best Western 119/night
