Has anyone ever taken a AP Studio Art Class 2-D Design Portfolio?

I'm thinking of taking a Studio Art class at my high school, and I'm wondering what do you really do?Is it fun?

From what I've heard from my friends it's wonderful fun although it's hard work. I remember a lot of them scrambling around last minute to finish the portfolio. Hmm.. i suppose the fun depends on what you draw, how much you enjoy art, etc.

Basically you create a portfolio, take slides (although they may change it to digital photos this coming year), send them in, get critiqued by a group of artists, and get a grade of 1 to 5 since it's an AP class.

I can't wait until I take it next year; I absolutely love drawing/printmaking/etc.

So, yes, I would recommend it!
