Has anyone ever taken natural progesterone pills? Please help me!?

My doctor is putting me on natural progesterone pills. I took the first one yesterday. She said I will need to be doing pregnancy test. But I don't get it. If I take the pill from day 14 to 26 of the cycle will it kill a fetus in my uterus?

Please help me.

It sounds like she's having you take progesterone after ovulation, which HELPS to sustain pregnancy.  Women who have low progesterone often have early miscarriages, so giving them progesterone increases the chance for the egg to survive.

For you to think your doctor would be giving you something that would kill your fetus is very scary.  You need to talk to your doctor and find out what your diagnosis is and why she's giving you progesterone.  You should know what you're be treating for and why your taking the medications she's giving you.  Ask questions and don't leave until you understand.

it shouldn't since your body is supposed to produce progesterone naturally on it's own.  your doctor wouldn't put you on anything that would kill a fetus if she's trying to help you get pregnant.
