Has anyone ever taken their children and/or tweens on a Royal Caribbean Cruise?

I have a 10 year old and a 13 year old. I know they have age appropriate programs. How is cruising with children?

Royal Caribbean has a wonderful kids program. Our daughter was 10 when we took her, and she loved it, there were many times she didn't want to leave the group. They do kids night dinner at Johnny Rockets so you can have a nice dinner to yourselves. There are so many activities for them, it is a great way for the whole family to get a great vacation.  You should try to book an active excursion with them, let them try something new. We have taken our daughter snuba in St Thomas twice, and she is so proud of herself afterwards. It is a great time to introduce them to so many new things. My daughter loves cruising, and my husband & I get some much needed alone time as well. Make sure to bring 2-way radios to keep in touch on the boat, it gives you all some freedom, without losing them! Enjoy your trip!

im 12 years old, and i went on a Royal Caribbean cruise with my whole family a year ago. the cruiseline offers day camps for all different age groups and entertains well. just try to keep the kids out of trouble and stay on your toes!

I cruised Royal Caribbean when I was 18 and had a blast. I know some children aren't so grateful. *Cough*

It's really, really great!  Put them in the youth programs - your kids will come back chatting nonstop about their counselors and what they did all day!  Royal Caribbean is also known for their youth programs, so you made a really great choice.  :)
