Has anyone ever transferred after one semester?

I'm going to a community college in the fall but I want to transfer to Temple University in the spring because I NEED to move out of my house.. I need the freedom to be the person I want to be. Has anyone ever done this before? Is it really hard to get housing when transferring in the middle of the year?

You can get housing down there, but you know the area ... so choose carefully.

Yes, people have done it. I've known people who have transfered from high school and gone to a spring semester of college (which is a huge change).

It's not hard for many places as a lot of people switch roommates or transfer out themselves. If they can't find you an on-campus dorm you might room off-campus somewhere but still be covered by the school.
