...wishing on railroad tracks? like, your in the car and about to ride over them and you touch metal and as your going over it you make a wish (while still touching the metal) and has your wish come true if you did? i do and i touch my gold earring and they always come true (except once)... it's pretty cool.

  1. wow you actually believe that, you have PROBLEMS. Admit it and get help.

  2. Probably works as good as a well or a falling star...

  3. I've never heard of this wish making before today, but as I have traveled along many miles of railroad, I have wished for food. heat, an operating air conditioner (remember, the cab of a locomotive is nothing more than a steel box.  Though it is larger than the boxes the Japanese used to put captives in during WWII, it is the same principal), operating toilet, operating windshiel wipers, a speedometer, a place to wash my hands and something better than a styrofoam ice chest to keep water cool.

Other wishes include wishing for the trip to end, sleep, one more engine in the consist, better dynamic brake or not getting held out of my home terminal by the yardmaster, where I could tie-up and go home.

And you know what?  None of the wishing did one d**n bit of good.

My biggest wish right now is that people heed grade crossing protection, stay off the right of way and keep clear of ANY railroad tracks you may come across, so you don't wind up as a greasy spot on the pilot of an engine, or strung out in pieces along the road bed.

Unfortunately, all the wishing in the world will not keep people from doing stupid things when near railroad rights of way.
