Question:

Has anyone ever tried the paid online surveys? Like Paid-Surveys-at-home.com or SurveyScouts.com?

These online services like Paid-surveys-at-home.com, and SurveyScout.com claim that by registering with them and paying initial membership fee, they will provide paid online surveys to take at home and earn money. How legitimate are these? Does a legitimate company that pays for filling online surveys exist. If any, please tell me.

  1. No it's just a way for them to sell you something.  The only true paid survey you can take at home are the AC Neilsen ratings.

  2. No Way!

  3. I don't have any personal experience with the sites you have to pay for, but I did read an article on it.  A parenting magazine had an article about these types of sites earlier this year. (I can't remember which parenting magazine because I read several--it may have been Parents but I'm not sure). They said these sites usually mainly sign you up for other legitimate paid survey sites which you can access free on your own elsewhere. They had the writer sign up with one of these sites and she found that the surveys she qualified to take paid just a little bit more than the cost of the membership.  (I don't remember if she signsed up for several sites, or just one...and I don't believe they named which one).

I have signed up for free sites and there are a lot of those which are legitimate.  I list some of the ones that have paide me on the following website, if you are interested:

And here's another good survey ratings site that you may find helpful:

  4. The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.

Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

  8. Treasure trooper works for me. Got paid $30.00 last month.

First things first, I would say start with the free offers so you can get used to the system. Make sure to fill them out completely and with completely honest information. When you do orders, make sure to go through them AS FAR AS POSSIBLE.

The Meaning of "With Intent to Participate"

Many people have asked how far into the survey they have to go for offers that say "enter email address with intent to participate." Usually these offers ask for 1) you email address or zip code, 2) your mailing address, 3) To answer some survey questions (mostly yes/no), and 4) for you to complete one or two other offers (most likely CC offers or paying offers). So how far do you have to go? I have gotten offers approved by just entering my email address. Other people like to go as far as entering their other personal information, just to make sure. It's recommendable to at least answer a couple of the survey yes/no questions. However, you do not have to go as far as step four to get the offer approved.

Some good options for free voicemail programs (some people don't like giving home phone #'s):

www.privatephone.com - this one lets you choose your area code

    www.k7.net

One trick to getting offers approved is to not do them all in the same day. Do like 3 or 4 a day. When you are done make sure to clean out your cookies, and have cookies enabled (Check Toolbar above- Click "Tools"---then "Internet Options"--- then "Delete Cookies").

If you have multiple e-mail addresses you will want to use a couple of alternate e-mail addresses, and switch e-mail from time to time. (You can create hotmail, yahoo, etc... for personal use). I use one e-mail address for all of my CC offers, that way, if I order a service with a free trial I can track my orders more easily.

Many of the offers are offered by the same company, and even though you clicked on different links (ex. RAZR then Laptop), it still thinks you're completing the same offer twice, and trying to cheat the system. That is when using different e-mail addresses is helpful!

Also, one helpful hint is to get referrals! I have made money just by having referrals who complete offers (THANK YOU!). Ideally, the more referrals you get, the more $$$ you will make. I do make more money by completing orders than I get via referrals though.

They have a way to make flyers or business cards on the TT website, they are great tools for attaining referrals. Also, make sure to e-mail friends and family, because this is a really easy way to make money, and who can't use a little extra cash from time to time  I like the flyers because I can post them in the mailroom at my apartment or at local posting boards.

If you shop online, make sure to check out the cash shopping section. I order flowers frequently, and by using the link from TT, I get cash back! They have over 300 stores there! I also have used 1-800-Flowers, OVERSTOCK.com, PetSmart, GNC and a couple of others. I have never had a problem with the online shopping through TT, and I always get money credited to my account because of it! Defeinitely a good service to check out!

Another good thing to do is to check out the TT Forum and Chat. I have gotten so many good tips and advice through them, its worth it to check it out!!!

Those are just a few tips for now. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!!!  Please let me know if I can help you in any way! I'll do my best!

  9. I've been doing it for a few months.  I just hit the $50.00 mark and I'm going to request payment.  It's TIME CONSUMING though.  I also found that I can get gift cards for my family using the "my points" website.  That's also time consuming but at least I don't have to pay out money for gifts anymore (although, my time is valuable to me , I still find it a better option).

    Good Luck!!
