Has anyone ever tried this????

Question

So, I have a mice problem in my apartment (for the last 6 months on so).

I really, really dislike mice--the only animal that pisses me off. I have 3 mice traps, but I don't really feel like using them (dunno why).

At some point (perhaps in a week or so), I was thinking of leaving a few pieces of bread around my apartment. I'm thinking of soaking these pieces of bread in a liquid mixture of vodka, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray, and melted swisse cheese.

I hoping that the mice will get drunk/tipsy from the bread, thus dulling their senses--so that I may capture them in plastic cups, seal the lid, and then.....(I don't know, depending on whether it works or not--don't wanna get too excited ya know......)....

So, has anyone else ever tried this before, or have an opinion (any opinion) on my "plan"?????

It may seem bizarre (b/c it is), but I am quite enthusiastic about carrying this out at some point--before september '08, I'm thinking.......la la la la LAAAAA........

People do make specail mouse traps where you can catch them in a mini cage thing and then set them free somwhere else(such as the forest) Mice will come back if you set them free close to your house. Try it and see if it works, if not, then try the mouse traps, cruel I know, I would only use them as a last resort...

I have not  tried this, but I would contact your landlord. That should be his responsibility. Also, you could purchase those traps that don't kill them and then let them go. It's just a more humane way to go. My husband and I tried that and it worked. He was a very smart mouse (he had got in through the side door and lived behind our fridge). I couldn't stand the thought of killing him, I got used to hearing him at night, so my husband bought the kind where you trap and let go and even that took a while, but once we did, we brought him to a nearby field and let him go.

It never occurred to me to get him drunk. hmmm..

Hello, why don't you just contact your landlord.  What will you do with them once you catch them?  Sounds like animal cruelty torture going on in your head.  Your not right.

first i would contact you local animal cops  to see if they can help or to see if your plan is even legal then (if its legal) try out your plan and if it doesnt work....just use your friggin traps.........

they have something called LIVE TRAPS that traps them without killing them then you just carry the trap outside and open the door and let the little miceies free!

my dad gets rats in a rat trap all the time in his shop he uses rat traps that clamp them and make their guts come out cool huh? lol i think that will work xD (kidding about my dad doing that lol) although you may use mice/ rat traps or poison just make sure none of the house animals you have eat them or u! lol my question http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
