  1. Try Adderall.

  2. I don't suggest yoga. That's for older women. Instead, enroll your child to karate.

  3. Hello everno14 -

I really applaud you for thinking outside the box here.  That's what it really takes to successfully manage and support a child with ADHD.

I can't say I have ever heard anyone ask about Yoga and ADHD, particularly in children this young.  But, it might help if this child is into Yoga.  I always say - support children in areas where they are passionate.

In this area - Yoga is a form of exercise and meditation.  It could work if this child is in to Yoga.

At the same time, as others have suggested below, Karate has been an incredible way of showing great improvement in children with ADHD.

I cannot stress how important exercise is to a child, particularly a child struggling with ADHD.  Our bodies need that release - and crave that release!!

Good luck.  I'd love to hear what others have to say.

  4. We have not personally tried this, but I have seen some amazing results with ADHD kids using simple meditation during a Tae Kwan Do class.

Google had many sites on the uses of yoga under these circumstances, and it makes a lot of sense to me.  Yoga and meditation slow brainwaves.  Slower brainwaves have a calming effect.

    It certainly can't hurt.

    Be well.
