I use 5-hydroxytrytophane (5-HTP) to help my central

nervous-system produce enough serotonine.

The 5-HTP is in a herbal ectraxt from the plant

"Griffonia Simplicifolia" which contains large amounts of the

5-HTP.

I would like to know if anyone erver used this extract

( or other medication with 5-HTP)

for the nervous-system and how they

experienced the use of this serotonine-booster.

  1. Actually I've been taking it the way Mr Peachy recommended, at his suggestion.  I had been feeling down ... and it really made me feel better.  It took about 3 days before I felt better, but it was a dramatic difference.

  2. I've been using it for about three years. It helped me to recover from depression. I currently use it to help fibromyalgia and sleep issues. It helps, but there is nothing more helpful than a healthy natural foods diet with all of it's available nutrition.

If you're using it for depression, add in some omega 3 fish oil caps (3/day), and vitamin B complex. You won't be sorry.
