Has anyone ever used ArmorAll or WD-40 as a release agent when making a plaster of paris mold?

  1. Based on using those two in other places and doing plaster casting stuff, I think I would favor spray fat - Pam - over those two.  Both tend to soak in and not do much separation capability, I fear.  The traditional material is English soap solution applied until a drop of water stands on the surface instead of soaking in.


  2. i have used petroleum jelly and that works good. you always can take a small piece of clay and test the two.
