Question:

Has anyone ever used a locator wristband for a child?

I hope I'd never have to use it, but as a precaution I think it would be a good idea.

Does it work?

Has it proven to be faulty on more than one occasion?

Have you used something similar other than a wristband?

What's the price range and where can I acquire one?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP?

  1. I've never used a locator wristband, but I have a small baby monitor from when my girls were younger that just clips onto their shirt and if I'm sending them out in the yard to play while I do housework or something I clip it to one of their shirts and keep the other end with me. It works great, I can hear exactly what they're doing

  2. I have only ever seen one system.  It was rather expensive and it only works for like 100 feet.  ( I think it was on a child safety website ) Then there are the cell phones that you can keep track with GPS.

I've actually thought that someone ought to develop something better.  My son is seven and although we live in a safe neighborhood, I'm always "relieved" when he gets home from a bike ride.
