Has anyone ever used a rug doctor?

hi everyone, i was painting my hall way yestreday and got red paint all over the carpet as it just went through the sheets i puit down. its water based emulsion. i tried cleaning it with soapy water but its still there but faded. i was going to rent a rug doctor but before i did was wondering if anyone has used one before and are they any good. thanks x

yes i have many years ago when i was living in an apartment and had carpet. it works okay i guess, i have 2 small kids and my carpet had gotten pretty bad but it might work okay for you. good luck

try cleaning it with rubbing alcohol.

carpet shampoo won't do anything to paint.

next time use plastic drop cloths

they're okay but i don't think the solution is them is strong enough try using you hands with some bleach.
