Has anyone ever used and EIN to get an aparment?

ive seen some singns and billboards that will take and EIN (employer idenficiation number) to rent an apartmen. has anyone ever dont this, if so how does it work.

If the owner or property manager will accept an EIN, then it may be a way to qualify for a rental property even if you personally have bad credit.  You'll need to file to create a company with your Secretary of State and then file for a an EIN with the IRS (google "EIN irs.gov").  Your EIN will not have a credit history which may be better than a bad history.

Most of the time, the people that rent using an EIN do not have a social sec. no. U can be in the usa and own a business and not be a citizen. Hope that told u what u wanted to know?
