I read in a book on natural healing that it is good to help with weight loss.

  1. Why would you want to put an artery-clogging totally saturated fat into your system? Please do some research and don't believe all the health clams you hear about.

  2. There is no magic pill, diet, cure, book or anything.  Coconut oil might help, but it is not the panacea that it is promised to be.  I've heard everything from weight loss to cancer and AIDS.  Don't belive everything you read or hear.

To lose weight, it is going to take hard work.  Research lots of different diets and approaches and blend them into something that will work for you.

A basic approach is going to be: eating fewer calories than you burn in a day, exercising, and lots of real, whole foods, (not processed.)

  3. The only way to lose weight is to count calories. I don't even exercise.

    HW- 5'5", 170 lbs.

    CW- 5'5", 125 lbs.

I eat 1500 calories a day, sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more. When I first started, I could eat 2000 calories a day and still lose weight. I just lowered the amount every time I plateaued.

I'm gonna say to you what my mom said to me, "if you don't want to work to lose weight, you must not really want to lose weight" (that kick started it!).

  4. I use it in cooking and eat it, though I don't use it for weightloss. It helps support the thyroid gland, which in turn if it functions properly if overweight you will start to lose pounds. You need to eat a healthy diet and this oil will give you energy, too. There are other ways to lose weight, but this is a nice oil to cook with and it smells and tastes good. Read more on it and see if it is something that you want to try.

  5. yes i guess
