  1. That's sort of the gimmick. You name your own price, but in order to do that, you agree to whatever they come up with so you don't know where you're staying exactly (although you can pick the number of stars you want for that hotel).  Is it worth it? It can be if saving money is the primary thing for you.  You will save money over the other ones by using it, but for me, I prefer to know where I'm staying before I buy.

  2. Because you could call the hotel and ask them to match priceline...........the site works for me.......175 hotel in downtwon atlanta.........67 bucks.........per nite.....

  3. That's their gimmick.  You get cheaper hotels or flights but have to be willing to take your chances on location or flight time/routing.  I've had good luck with Priceline and Hotwire, which is similar.  If you're bidding on 4 star hotels, it's unlikely you're going to end up in a bad neighborhood, so if you can be flexible about where you stay it's a good way to get good prices.  Likewise with the flights, as long as you don't have to arrive at a certain time.  The one time I did Priceline for flights I had to leave at 5:50 AM and transfer through St. Louis to get from DC to Indianapolis, which is not a routing I would have picked on my own, but it was the cheapest flight I could get during a peak holiday season.
