I am trying to repair my credit without paying a arm and a leg. I have 9 collections dating from 2003 to 2006.

  1. Do you mean The Credit Secrets Bible? If yes, I have used it. Maybe you want to know if it is worth its salt.

Well, it shows you different ways to deal with collectors so that they will deal with your at your terms. No, they are not in control, you are.

There are different ways to deal with different types of collectors. Also, there are different types of letters that you can use for various purposes. Using the wrong type of letter can potentially backfire in your face.

The Credit Secrets Bible also shows you ways of getting adverse accounts deleted by simply taking advantage of the laws that protect consumers as well as legitimizing disputes: The old "not mine" method of disputing debts will not get you far.

It goes farther and shows you how and where to obtain credit-building credit cards and loans as well as offering you tips for raising your credit score in the shortest time possible.

I have reviewed The Credit Secrets Bible in more detail - see the source(s) link.

  2. Don't buy this book. It is an overpriced guide that contains nothing you couldn't get off the internet for free.

You need to pull your credit reports, dispute the entries, debt validate the collection agencies, and negotiate with the agencies who survive those first three steps.

And I didn't charge you $99.95 for that advice either.

  3. Save your hard earned money and repair bad credit yourself.

There is nothing these so called credit repair kits and books can show you that that you can't easily learn how to do yourself for free. Here are some free fix credit tips here: http://fixcreditscore.wordpress.com
