Has anyone ever used the price line name your own price and if so were you satisfied.?

I want to book a trip to Italy next year to see my brother and hsi soon to be new baby but the ticket prices are ridiculous and there will be 3 of us going. Any feedback...good or bad will be greatly appreciated.

    I used Priceline many years ago to buy tickets.  But with the rising price of fuel and other things, I would just recommend that you use http://www.sidestep.com to find the best price.  Also with priceline, you can't get frequent flier miles for your flights -- you forfeit them.  Why pay $500/ticket to Italy and not get the miles?  

    If you do go, I would suggest flying direct if you can.  It will be cheaper since each time you stop you have to pay airport fees.

    Avoid the UK if you can -- they have the highest airport fees.

    If you can't fly direct, go through Spain or Amsterdam.

    http://www.expedia.com (they often have bargain fares that are lower than the published fare)
